Essential gadgets and tips for a simple home office

The idea of working from home has long been in existence before the impact of the pandemic. Recently, many employees and entrepreneurs prefer working from home to save costs and be

more productive. As a stay-at-home mom and blogger, working from home has made it convenient to multitask even though there are days that are not as promising as the experienced best days. However, if you don't have any work from home experience, some essential tips and gadgets will make it easy to have an ideal home office. The main aim is to have a space that will inspire you to be more creative and productive. Mine isn't as fancy as the pictures you'll see on Pinterest but it is perfect for me- everything I need within reach and that's what is important. The items below are necessary for every home office.

    1. A designated work area.

   2. A laptop, desktop- however, if you want to work from home without a laptop, at least an iPad and an external Bluetooth keyboard.

    3. A table with at least a drawer.

    4. An ergonomic chair.

    5. High-speed internet.

    6. Surge protector (to avoid heartbreak, if you know what I mean 😂)

    7. A printer (although this isn't a must, an alternative will be to use the printing services in places such as the library, copy & print stores, hotels, shipping stores, and so on).

  8. Stationery such as a memo pad, sticky note, pen, stapler and staples, sketch pad, highlighters, stamps, envelopes, cello tapes, scissors, files, calculator, and so on.

    9. A mug! Sometimes you need the 'tea' to get you creative *wink*

   10. Led light, I use the led ring light

   11. Scented candles, again this isn't a most but if you love scented candles as I do, go for it. I always use vanilla and lavender scented candles.

   12. Photos of your loved ones, again not a must, but if you like it, add it :)

Furthermore, these tips below are imperative to find a flow while working from home.

    1. Put yourself in a good mood before you start working

2.Start with the most important tasks

3.Listen to a podcast or music to boost your creativity

    4.Wear your most comfy attire

5.You can put on a face mask/hair mask while doing a short task.

6.If you love glamming up to work from home, get it, girl!

7.Stay hydrated, and don't forget to eat.

8.Take a break when you need to.

9.Working from home doesn't mean you can't complete a task in a mall or coffee shop. Change the scenery once in a while.

10.Create a daily, weekly and monthly plan.

In summary, working from home has its pros and cons so, if you need to work from the comfort of your abode, make sure you are physically and mentally ready to take up the challenge. Besides, anyone can decide to have a home office even though you work from the office. In fact, a home office is an ideal space for creatives, students, researchers, etc. Remember, your office should be a productive space to bring out the best in you.
