This is one of my favourite go-to sauces for Paratha. I learned it when my craving for the Nigerian meat pie was unexplainably intense. Well, I guess it was the meat pie filling that I was actually craving, so I
started making it at home. This comfort food is rich in protein and carbohydrates. The Ingredients.
- Boiled Beef (cut into cubes).
- Potatoes (cut into cubes).
- Carrot (nicely diced).
- Thyme seasoning.
- Cream of Chicken soup.
- Low-Sodium Beef Broth.
- Olive Oil (or margarine).
- Yellow or Purple Onions (nicely sliced).
- Salt.
- All-Purpose Flour(optional).
Preparation (15 mins). Step by Step Method.
Step 1. Fry the onions for 3 minutes.
Step 2. Add the diced carrots, potatoes and beef to the pot.
Step 3. Add the cream of chicken soup (Knorr) and All-purpose flour to the mix.
Step 4. Add other spices like thyme and salt.
Step 5. Add chicken broth if it’s too thick.
Lastly, Enjoy!
I enjoy eating this sauce with paratha (my favourite is the Kawan plain paratha, see picture below), Pancakes, Naan bread or occasionally, milk bread and a cold glass of orange juice. Luckily, this is one of the few things my son loves eating.
