According to khaleejtimes.com, The UAE moon-sighting committee will meet virtually on Monday,
April 12, to indicate the start of the holy month of Ramadan. With Ramadan around the corner, it's no news that certain adjustments must be made. These are some rules that must be adhered to:- Avoid loud music in public areas.
- Don't display affection in public.
- Don't engage in arguments.
- Do eat in designated areas in the malls.
- Don't eat or drink in public.
- Don't chew gum.
- Do drive safely as people fasting may rush home for Iftar.
- Do dress modestly.
- Do adhere to the rules to avoid being fined.
Additionally, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) tweeted several guidelines to be followed during Ramadan, such as:
- Avoid social gatherings.
- Say no to iftar tents.
- Be mindful while going for Friday prayer.
The authority said it would be launching an intensive inspection campaign during the month that would hold violators culpable and take strict action against them.
