During a zoom meeting, I was asked about how I got my coaching clients and what advice would I
give her about increasing her client base. The excitement on the interviewer's face immediately inspired me to write a blog post about it. Generally, the aspiration of every(if not all) business owner is to increase their client base. At first, it could be frustrating, but consistency, creativity, and critical analysis will make you thrive. There are a variety of proven ways to gain more followers, clients, and views for your business, but today, I'll be focusing on 7 tips which are:
1. Team building. Get your team members involved in increasing your client base by task allocation. You don't need to have a large team to achieve this. You can start with 2 members and give them tasks like social media management (online marketing and following up on existing clients), publicists (someone who can approach companies on behalf of your company).
2. Be active on social media. This involves content creation and developing SMART content. This means your content should be tailored specifically to your audience. It should be measured by the responses you get on each content by using analytic tools. The question that can guide you is, “how do I know my viewer's reaction to my content?” Your content should be attainable and achievable. For instance, if you choose to share tips on a particular topic, make sure it can easily be achieved by your audience. Additionally, the information you share on your social media pages should be relevant to your audience, and lastly, information is appreciated more when shared on time. For instance, if there's an ongoing case relevant to your niche, to keep your audience abreast of the situation, deliver timely content.
3. Join networking platforms. There are various places to increase your networks, such as online groups, forums, workshops and events.
4. Tell people what you do. Generally, spread the word by yourself by having a business card, showing people your website or social media handles, and starting a conversation that would make the topic of your business inevitable.
5. Ask your existing clients for referrals. Collaborate with others on a guest post. Earn your clients’ trust by doing the best work for them. By doing that, you can confidently ask them for referrals. If they enjoy your services, they can share their experience with your company without you asking for leads.
6. Advertise your business. The easiest way to publicize your business is by advertising it. The paid adverts come in various ways, from social media advertising to traditional adverts.
7. Lastly, you can ask your mentor/trailblazers how they increase their client base.
