How to have a memorable experience in Sharjah

Sharjah is the third most popular Emirate in the UAE. It's the closest emirate to Dubai in terms of

distance. Tourists visit this Emirate for various reasons, such as having the traditional feel of the UAE and learning about the culture. This family-friendly Emirate is home to people of various nationalities. To create a memorable experience in Sharjah, here are the things you shouldn’t miss.

1. Places of attraction & fun.

Sharjah has a lot of places to create memories as well as connect with other people. Although some of these places have some restrictions due to the COVID-19. I have written about a few of the places of attraction on my blog, check out the links below.

Sharjah Aquarium

Al Majaz Waterfront

Sharjah Rain Room

Sharjah Corniche Abra Boat Ride

However, some of the malls in Sharjah are quite fun to visit, such as Sahara Mall, Sharjah City Centre, Safeer mall.

2. Learn about the UAE culture.

Unlike Dubai, with all the glitz and glamour, Sharjah has an infusion of culture and contemporary lifestyle. To learn about the heritage of the Emiratis, you can take a tour of some of the museums such as Sharjah Maritime Museum, Bait Al Naboodah Museum, Al Mahattah Museum, Heart of Sharjah, Sharjah Art Museum, Sharjah Heritage Museum, Sharjah Discovery Centre, Al Noor Island.

3. Staycations in some prestigious hotels.

If you’d like to stay in the city for a day or two, there's a wide variety of hotels to choose from. It’s advisable to book ahead, preferably from Booking.com. Some prestigious hotels include:

- Golden Sands Hotel.

- Al Hayat.

- Hilton Sharjah.

- Citymax Hotel Sharjah.

- Ibis Styles Sharjah.

- Nova Park Hotel.

- Aryana Hotel.

4.Take a walk around the city.

This depends on how long you are in Sharjah for, if you want to have an unbiased experience of the city, you can decide to walk around the neighbourhood.

5. Beaches.

After a long day of touring the city, don’t forget to enjoy the city & sea view from one of these open beaches such as Al Mamzar Beach, Al Khan Beach, Sharjah Beach.

What would you love to do when you visit Sharjah?
