A lady shared a very inspiring and encouraging experience with me yesterday about how stressful it can be to care for our little ones when we have personal issues.
According to her (Rachel), a friend of hers (Stella) was feeling a bit off so she visited her. On getting there, Sharon asked her to kindly watch her kids because that was the day she was to know the fate of her job. She left the house to get some air, after a while she came back crying; she had lost her job.
Rachel encouraged her to be strong, that being made redundant didn’t mean she wouldn’t get another job. Later, Sharon's little daughter came in to ask for a lot of things that were quite expensive but she wasn’t in the right frame of mind to answer reasonably so she screamed at her and told her to go to her room. Rachael told her to ‘just keep praying to God the same way your daughter was asking for those things, God will definitely answer and if you don’t get the answer immediately trust him like the way your daughter is going back to her room to trust that you’ll definitely answer her’.
This story really encouraged me so I decided to share it with you all.
What I learned from it are:
1. Trust God like a child.
2. No matter the situation you are faced with, if it is beyond your control, give it to God. Otherwise, ask Him for the wisdom to handle it.
What have you learned from the story?
Amen He will never forsake us indeed in Jesus Name.
