How I made my microwave mug cake

I have been craving sponge cake for a while but today, the craving was extraordinary (no, I am not
pregnant 😬 ) this made me check out quick cake recipes online. I saw so many recipes but the easiest was using cake mix and a mug to make it in the microwave. After reading it, I made mine with the vanilla cake mix I have. Words & emojis can’t describe how tasty it was.

Ingredients

-  2 Tablespoons of vanilla cake mix.
- 1 Egg yolk
- Butter
- 3-4 drops of Oil

Preparation

- Mix the cake mix, egg yolk and oil in a bowl.
- Grease the mug with butter.
- Pour the mix into the mug and stop when it’s almost at the halfway point (it will rise in the microwave).
- Microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds.
- If it springs back when touched, your cake is ready.
- Enjoy.

Time

10 Minutes

 Quick Update

I made this vanilla cake in a bowl with twice the quantity of ingredients I used for the mug cake and microwaved it for about 5 minutes. After this, I added drops of milk on the cake just because I like it :) Now, I know for sure that I can actually make different flavored layers of cake easily and cover it nicely with whipped cream.
