Why I did my wedding makeup by myself

My friend and I talked briefly about my wedding makeup and how happy she was when she got to know I did my own makeup so, I decided to write about the
‘why’.

I got married in 2018 and I know this is a very huge risk ladies are not willing to take, trust me I was scared at first but I just wanted to look like me. Other reasons why are:

- To be comfortable with my look.

- I regretted the first time I had a makeup artist do my make up.

- I didn’t want to look so different.

- As simple as that.

I got so many makeup products to practice with. These were the products I ended up using on that day.

- Zaron primer.
- Milani concealer.
- Mac concealer.
- Zikel foundation.
- Zikel powder.
- Zaron contour kit.
- FM eyeshadow.
- Zaron mascara.
- LA girl setting spray.
And.... I covered myself with the Blood of Jesus.

I remember being in the most comfortable position as I was making up: sitting on the floor with all my makeup items spread out on my bed and about three mirrors to see each angle. My mom was my cheerleader ðŸ˜¬

Truth is I stopped caring about the standard, expectations, and whatnot. I decided to start doing what makes me feel comfortable, happy, less pressured as long as it doesn’t hurt people and it’s not a sin. Of course, I got some comments about my makeup because I didn’t have the conventional wedding makeup look but I laughed it off because I was comfortable with my look and my husband loved it (I said petty things at first though).
