Impulse buying is an unplanned decision to buy a product you may or may not need. There are
several reasons for this and in my opinion, it has some advantages and disadvantages, I believe its all about balance and decision making.

This is one habit I've been able to work on (in my case, it wasn't just buying random items but getting things I needed too early; the fear of running out of household items. I hope that makes sense?)
I started working on it when I had this discussion with a friend some years back, what I've been doing has helped a great deal.
- Make a list.
- Go with the specific amount you want to spend.
- Don't do random store visits.
- Those items may look fancy but don't get carried away.
- Take 10 deep breaths if you feel frustrated.
- Share your anxiety with someone.
The advantages of impulse buying are:
- It makes you get things in bulk.
- You spend less because the Items may be on sale.
- Makes planning for the month easy and practical.
- You get a particular item that hasn't been available for a while.
- Deciding to get a gift early for a friend.
That doesn't mean I don't buy things on impulse, but I've learn to control it when I know it isn't the best decision in that moment. If you feel the need to control your purchases a little, this post is for you.
