I watched an episode of The Real where the ladies talked about struggle love
and it inspired me to write about it.
I believe struggle love isn’t applicable to relationships alone, it can be experienced in friendships, at work or a social circle. It means settling for things or constantly seeking affection from someone who clearly doesn't want to be a part of your life. This may lead to depression, frustration, low self-esteem and lack of confidence. People who experience this lose their identity, values and morals at some point.
I’m of the opinion that being your authentic self will make it easy to know what you want, when to walk away and the how to deal with compromise without affecting your beliefs and worth.
So I’d like to know what you think about struggle love.
