We sometimes get so overwhelmed with our issues, busy schedule or disappointments that we forget that there are many reasons to be grateful. Being grateful doesn't only remind us of the positivity around us but it makes us aware of what we can and can't control. I saw a gratitude list recently that has actually helped me add more positivity to my day and I decided to share it here.
In times when you feel lonely, sad, frustrated, angry, disappointed, heartbroken, this can help you to be grateful for other things in your life.
1. Name a highlight in your day.
2. Where did you see God in your life today?
3. What made you smile today?
4. Who are you most grateful for and why?
5. What have you learnt about your recently?
6. What are you learning about God?
7. Recall a time you needed and received encouragement.
8. What is your favorite bible verse?
9. What prayer has been answered recently?
10. What is a luxury you are grateful for?
However, you can choose to make a gratitude list that will suit your life. To go about this, ask questions that are related to:
- God
- Family
- Friends
- School
- Work
- Health
- Emotions
- Growth
- Daily events
- Mental strength
- Relationship
