9 Interesting Questions About My Pregnancy

Hey lovelies, I hope you are having a great day?

As most of you know, I gave birth four months ago and I have been asked a lot of questions about my
pregnancy journey so today, I will be answering some of the most interesting questions I've been asked. Let's dive in :)

What were my cravings:

I craved meat pie a whole lot! it was difficult to get it here in the UAE but one blessed day, I was able to get someone who makes it and I the rest is history lol, asides that I craved coke but I had to be careful with that one, I craved caprisun orange drink like crazy I don't know what's in there but I dranks caprisun a lot.

What were my early symptoms:

I vomited almost everyday in my first trimester, cramps (almost like menstrual cramps), headache, dizziness and of course missed period

How did I know I was pregnant:

This was one of the funny questions I got not because it seems funny (if you know you know) but because I took three pregnancy tests and they were negative so I thought something was wrong with me. When I went to the hospital, they did the blood test and it showed I was pregnant, However I guessed I was pregnant because I was craving pringles and chocolate which I don't usually take.

What was the most difficult test I did during pregnancy:

ohhh the glucose test, I took this test when I was about 27 weeks and that was the period I was eating a lot. Before doing the test, I had to fast for about 8 hours and go for the test at 8 am (I wasn't able to sleep at night so I was just walking to the hospital by faith not by sight), the first blood sample was taken and I hate needles, anyway, I was given a glucose drink and waited for another hour for the next sample to be taken. I went to the hospital with a pillow because I couldn't be bothered. I waited for another hour for the third sample to be taken and when I was done I was so happy I was done with it!

What were my fears:

I was always scared of the pain of labor but I guess I was afraid for nothing because I did not have labor pain (this story will be shared another time) 🙂

How did I react when I found out the gender:

I have always wanted my first baby to be a boy, when we went to check, I told the doctor not to tell me or even imply it. He told my husband the gender, after a while my husband threw a surprise gender reveal party and I was so excited to see blue balloons.

How did I deal with weight gain:

The picture above was taken a day before I gave birth. I tried to do little things like I was always going for a walk in my second trimester and whenever I was strong enough to, I did in my third trimester. I also drank lots of water before eating what I craved and it made me eat little of what I craved. I reduced my consumption of fried food and fast food.

Did my libido increase:

I wont go into TMI but it kinda did 😉

What was the most difficult time during pregnancy:

I cant remember having a difficult time but I know I had weird moments like one evening I went for walk, I saw a boy of about 4 years old trying to cross a busy road and I wondered where his parents were, this made me cry... I cried till I got home because he looked scared and I cried a lot for trivial reasons. Being so emotional was weird to me but I couldn't control it.
