First of all, I had my Nigerian traditional wedding and white wedding done on the same day so I had different 'hair' looks but today, I will concentrate on the traditional details.
I got this pre-tied gele in the market (because I guess this is whats worn by brides these days) and because it looks really pretty. After getting it, I had to look for a matching colour of aso-oke for the ipele (whats on my shoulder). The gele (also known as auto gele) was stoned but I felt the need to add more stones to it. I am so sorry there is no before and after to show how it was and what it looked like after adding more stone but the little circular designs in front was what i added to it.
I gave the tailor the asoke to sew the ipele and also stone it so he made the designs on the ipele correspond with that of the gele. It was really easy to wear, I had a bun hair do so it was easy to sit well on my head. I also had side bangs and was worried about how to put the bangs in the gele without ruining it because I did both the traditional wedding and church wedding the same day.

If you have any questions about the details of my traditional wedding hair do (or the wedding generally, please feel free to send a message to me asemota.grace@yahoo.com)
