Woman who used a Truly Blonde hair dye is left with three inches of BLACK roots - after discovering the wrong bottle inside the box
A woman was left 'mortified' at her 'horrible hair' after she claims a home dye kit advertised as 'Truly Blonde' left her with three inches of jet black roots.
Katie Egglestone, from Ashington, Northumberland, says she had already applied the colour to her locks before starting to panic about how dark it looked.
But she alleges the Garnier Nutrisse 'super lightening hair colour' do-it-yourself box contained a totally different product, made by L'Oreal not Garnier, which was actually for dyeing hair black.

Medical receptionist Katie ordinarily uses henna to dye her hair ginger, but wanted to dye her roots blonde so she could put the brighter colour over the top. She was forced to use a dye-stripping product on her black roots
The 20-year-old had the dye on her hair for ten minutes and claims after washing it off was left with several inches of black roots while the rest of her hair had been stained darker.
The medical receptionist was so upset she cancelled her plans for the weekend as she said she didn't want to be seen in public.
