Healthy Ways to Balance Your Emotions



According to psychologytoday.com, Emotional balance occurs when we allow ourselves to feel
whatever comes up, without feeling stifled or overwhelmed, and learn to accept our feelings without judgment. It also means the ability for the mind and body to maintain a healthy balance in order to adapt to various changes. 

There are so many emotions we feel; some we can identify/express and others we can't comprehend. It’s important to note that being emotional doesn’t make you weak rather it shows your ability to express yourself, however, creating a balance is necessary especially when the emotions are negative.

There are different ways people balance their emotions; healthy and unhealthy ways but I believe those unhealthy ways may only yield short term result and sometimes worse outcomes. These are healthy ways for emotional balance:

- Identify your emotions 
- Allow yourself feel the emotions
- Have a support system 
- Creativity
- Practice Mindfulness and Gratitude
- Have a mindset change
- Learn new things
- Express your emotions through your passion
