How I Created My Half Cornrow Ponytail with a Bun Clip

Hey everyone! I’m excited to share how I styled my hair into a gorgeous half cornrow ponytail, complete with a chic bun clip. This look took me about an hour to achieve, and I love how versatile it is!

Step-by-Step Process:

1. Prep Your Hair: Start with clean, dry hair. I made sure to detangle thoroughly to avoid any snags while styling.

2. Sectioning: I divided my hair into two sections: the top half for the cornrows and the bottom half to remain loose.

3. Cornrowing: I began braiding the top section into cornrows. I made about 14 cornrows using Brazilian yarn and ensured they were tight but not too tight to avoid discomfort. This took me roughly 40 minutes.

4. Gathering the Ponytail: Once the cornrows were done, I gathered the loose hair at the back and pulled it into a ponytail using a transparent hair gel.

5. Accessorizing with a Bun Clip: I added a bun clip to the ponytail. It instantly elevated the look and added a touch of elegance. The clip not only holds the hair in place but also adds a stylish flair.

One of the best things about this hairstyle is its versatility. I can switch up the ponytail and attach different styles or even wear it without a ponytail altogether. Whether I want a sleek look or something more playful, this half cornrow style allows for creativity!

This hairstyle is perfect for any occasion, and it’s relatively easy to do. I love how the cornrows give a unique touch while the bun clip adds sophistication. If you haven’t tried it yet, I definitely recommend giving it a go!
