North West hasn't hit kindergarten yet, but apparently Kim Kardashian thinks she's old enough for fake hair.
The reality star gave her 2-year-old matching boxer braids Wednesday while on
vacation in Colorado.
Perhaps she was just keeping up with niece Penelope Disick, 3, who sported the similar swirling style a day earlier to match 31-year-old aunt Khloe.
Kardashian proudly snapped a photo of her daughter sporting the new ’do during their family ski trip in Vail, and is herself seen holding the frowning toddler in another shot.
Giving a child who is likely still using sippy cups and needs bathroom assistance a pricey and unnatural hair-do raised eyebrows on social media.
“They put hair extensions on North West why?” tweeted Tori Hunt.
Putting hair extensions on North West’s hair is a quick way to weaken and break off her natural hair,” tweeted Saundry Moody.
It's not the first time Kardashian's parenting style was questioned. She was accused of waxing her child’s eyebrows two years ago, but quickly shot down rumors.
“Do people really think I would wax my daughter’s eyebrows so young?” she tweeted. “Come on, I’d wait until she’s at least 2 ½!” she joked.
Angelina Jolie experienced the same when her daughter, Zahara, also appeared to sport hair extensions in December 2011. At the time, Zahara was 6 and went from having natural hair to plaited extensions when the family was in Las Vegas.
