How to Get Kate Winslet's Side-Swept Waves From the 2016 Oscars

Kate Winslet, Oscars 2016, Hair
Kate Winslet may not have gone home with an Oscar, but her effortless golden locks deserve some attention.
The awards show is typically an over-the-top affair, but this year, celebs opted for barely there makeup and to let their hair down. Kate, in particular, channeled this California-cool-meets-Hollywood-glam vibe with her side-swept waves. The result? A hairstyle we can do ourselves.
Courtesy of hair guru Renato Campora, on behalf of MarulaOil, here's how to get your own iteration of Kate's side swept waves.
Step 1: Prep hair with MarulaOil Rare Oil Style Extending Primer before blow-drying with a round brush to help smooth out hair and add shine.
Step 2: Use a 1-inch curling wand, wrapping hair away from the face.
Step 3: Use hairspray, like MarulaOil Rare Oil Perfecting Hairspray, to hold waves in place.
Step 4: For more piece-y waves, run hands through hair as you lightly blow-dry to help the hairspray dry faster and set the style in place.
